I don’t even bother trying,

is many’s honest reply to the question in the focus group of whether they had ever tried anything to keep themselves focused during classes or when self-studying.

However, according to the survey results and other focus group participants, the methods most frequently tried out are:

  1. Put phone away
  2. Put phone on silent/vibrate
  3. Put phone face-down

Most respondents confirmed having achieved some certain results, although these are not radical means. Some students (myself included) have even tried using pen and paper to take note in class, and generally, it helps with concentration.
